Gospel musician Empress Gifty, aka noko fine, was installed as chief over the weekend.
Empress Gifty was installed as chief by the Igbo community in Ghana as they marked their 10th anniversary.
In a video, that has popped up on social media, controversial Empress Gifty is seen dancing and expressing her joy after her coronation.
In an interview, she disclosed she’s been honoured due to her hard work, and her support for the community.
She also revealed she has been a close friend of the chief and his wife and by extension a very good friend of the community.
Taking to social media Empress Gifty wrote;

I would like to express my gratitude to the King and people of the Igbo Community in Ghana for bestowing such honour on me.
I am more than thrilled to be part of history as the Igbo Community in Ghana marks 10th anniversary on the throne today.
This honour by extension would deepen the cultural and economic ties between Ghana and Nigeria.
For this reason, I would avail myself for this cause, because we stand gain a lot by working together as Africans.
From today, I am one of you
