A disgruntled Wiyaala and her team have called out Shata Wale and his team over an alleged act of sheer hatred in NYC.
Wiyaala made a long post via Facebook to register her displeasure after being treated like a “nobody” by the president of the Bronx borough.
Now get this: Wiyaala has further accused Shatta Wale and his team of taking center stage in disrespecting her and her team.
According to Wiyaala, she was informed that she and Shatta Wale would be honored with a Citation of Merit.
The citation is to be presented by Council Member Vanessa L. Gibson on stage during an interval in her performance.
However, she was thrown off course after the presentation was made to Shatta Wale by Vanessa without calling Wiyaala forward.
Wiyaala and the team now demand accountability from Shatta Wale and his team or council member Gibson.
The shocking twist is the mention of Shatta Wale, who is on record constantly pushing for unity among musicians.
The dancehall act caused an uproar after he made a hate speech against Nigerians over the lack of support for Ghanaian musicians.
So far, Shatta Wale and his team have not issued any statement to counter Wiyaala’s claims.
