Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin appeared at the Asokore Mampong District Court on charges of dangerous driving and negligently causing harm after his arrest on Monday, June 3, 2024.
The arrest and subsequent legal proceedings stem from an accident involving a vehicle he was driving, which tragically resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy. The court granted him bail of GH¢50,000 with two sureties.
The case was initially adjourned when the family of the deceased boy failed to appear in court. However, in a recent update from Gossip24, it was revealed that Lilwin has reached an agreement with the family.
He has agreed to cover all expenses related to the accident, including replacing the father’s damaged car with a brand-new Hyundai Santa Fe.
Lilwin also provided the family with GH¢95,000 to cover hospital and other bills and pledged to support the deceased boy’s siblings with their education and future needs.
While Lilwin still faces legal proceedings, he has taken steps to assist the bereaved family.
