Gospel musician Joyce Blessing has been trending in the news for the wrong reasons following reports that her marriage is crumbling.
Reports went rife on social media on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, that the Repent hitmaker and her husband, Dave Joy, who doubles as her producer, were on the brink of divorce.
While the initial reports were only treated as social media gossip, it later emerged that the news was true and the minstrel was being denied access to her children. Blessing’s husband reportedly left their matrimonial home to live with his sister and he took away their children.
The singer was said to have gone to her sister-in-law’s house to pick up her children and it turned into a chaotic situation. After being prevented from getting her children, Joyce Blessing reportedly parked her car at the entrance of the sister-in-law’s home to prevent her from also moving.
This infuriated the lady and it took the intervention of some security personnel to bring the situation under control. In leaked audio, the sister-in-law was heard ranting at Joyce Blessing for blocking her entrance and preventing her from going to work. Speaking in Twi, she described Joyce Blessing as a “foolish woman and an animal” and even threatened to hit the singer’s car. “Let the girl come and take her car away else I will hit her car.
Foolish woman, animal like you…can you take over my house? How dare you block me from going to work,” she angrily said among many other insults.

Formerly, she wrote there that she belonged to DaveJoy Production, however, that is no longer on her Instagram profile.
