Ghanaian Afrobeats singer and songwriter Joel Ofori Bonsu, popularly known as Olivetheboy, has shared his thoughts on love, describing it as rare and difficult to find.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on Hitz FM with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie on Monday, December 1, 2025, the ‘Asluym’ hitmaker stated that while people can find someone special, it does not necessarily translate into true love. He explained that love in its purest form is difficult to come by in modern relationships.
“I don’t think anyone can find love. You can find someone, but not love,” he declared, emphasizing that love in its purest form is hard to come by.
Olivetheboy also revealed that most of his love songs are inspired by past experiences rather than his current romantic life, despite his reputation as a lover boy.
“Most of the love songs I write are not really from present times. Most of them are from past experiences, like before now,” he explained.
