Davido and Chioma are yet to confirm the news but from multiple sources, it seems the couple are going to get a replacement for the son they lost last year.
Recall that sometime last year, Davido’s son Ifeanyi Davido passed away on November 1, 2022. Ifeanyi Davido’s death came as a surprise as he recently celebrated his third birthday.
In a recent series of events, the Lagos State Police Command said on Saturday that the autopsy done on the body of Ifeanyi shows that his death was caused by drowning.
Davido reflected on the tragedy of losing his son, three-year-old Ifeanyi Adeleke, during a conversation with CNN’s Larry Madowo for an upcoming episode of African Voices.
In the interview, the Afrobeats virtuoso described his journey back to making music—and finding healing along the way—following an extended social media hiatus.
The “Over Dem” singer shared that before Ifeanyi had passed, he had completed his fourth studio album, Timeless. In the wake of the sudden tragedy though, he re-recorded the album.
Even though the couple haven’t confirmed the news, we do hope that they have indeed welcomed a new baby.
