Christian Atsu’s wife Marie Claire-Rupio has finally broken her silence over her husband’s demise after his funeral was held in Ghana.
In a post on social media, Rupio thanked Ghanaians for giving her and her family a warm welcome in the country.
She expressed appreciation for that and said she hoped to visit Ghana again sometime soon.
“I want to thank all the Ghanaians who have welcomed me and my family to Ghana in a safe and kind way. It was all very overwhelming but your love and kindness have made it better for us.
“We hope to visit Ghana very soon again and thank you for everything you’ve done for Christian and my family,”
Christian Atsu was buried in his hometown in Ada-Foah following a state funeral held Friday, March 17th 2023.
Atsu’s wife, their three sons and her parents were all in Ghana for the funeral.
