Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has once again grabbed attention during his campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, specifically in the Adansi Asokwa constituency. The Vice President was spotted enjoying a roasted plantain, locally known as Kofi Brokeman, a video that quickly went viral and sparked mixed reactions among netizens.
Social media quickly lit up with comments, with some praising the NPP candidate for showing humility and blending in with ordinary Ghanaians.
On the flip side, critics were quick to label the move as a typical campaign gimmick. “They only do this during elections. After they win, will you see them eating by the roadside?” one user questioned.
