English right back Kyle Walker has picked Vinicius Junior as the best forward in the world, overlooking his club mate Mbappe and Barcelona whizkid Yamal.

The new Premier league season has just kicked in, with Manchester City’s opening fixture set to take place at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. City captain Kyle Walker was interviewed by Sky Sports’ “Saturday Social.” Quizzed to rank Yamal, Vinicius and Mbappe, the right back put Barca young superstar Yamal third before subsequently putting Mbappe second Vinicius second and first respectively, much to the surprise of the interviewer.

I think for his (Yamal) age, and what he’s done, he obviously deserves to be in the same category with these players, you know that speaks to itself

On his choice of Mbappe being second to Vinicius, he cites having rarely come up directly against him technically as a reason.

I’m gonna go Mbappe second. Just because technically I haven’t never come up directly against him. Against France I did, but international football is a lot different from club football.

Finally, he puts Vini first and explains having enjoyed his battles against him, highlighting the mutual respect between them.
