Rapper, Kofi Mole breaks silence, demands retraction over drug use allegations

Ghanaian rapper Kofi Mole, known in private life as Edward Amoah, has issued a formal cease and desist notice through his legal team in response to defamatory claims circulating online.

The false allegations, which stem from a misrepresentation of a recent interview shared via TikTok, accuse the artist of drug abuse and related health issues—claims his team has described as “wholly untrue, baseless, and without lawful justification.”

According to the statement, the offending content not only misrepresents Kofi Mole’s words but also seeks to tarnish his reputation and credibility. “These statements were made with the clear intent to injure the reputation of our client and expose him to public ridicule, contempt, and disrepute,” the legal team asserted. They further highlighted the emotional and professional harm these claims have caused, including the loss of business opportunities and damage to the artist’s well-earned public image.

The legal team has demanded the immediate retraction of all defamatory content, a public apology to be published weekly for eight consecutive weeks, and a stop to any further publication of falsehoods. Failure to comply, they say, will result in the pursuit of all available legal remedies. Kofi Mole’s team emphasized their client’s long-standing reputation as a law-abiding, dedicated artist who has served his community and country with consistency and integrity.
