A married woman in South Africa has been arrested after recruiting four men to pour acid on her husband’s lover, resulting in the young woman’s death.
According to reports, the married woman had repeatedly warned the sidechick identified as Eunice to end her relationship with her husband.
Despite numerous confrontations, the affair continued and this heightening tensions between the two women.
Investigators say the frustrated wife eventually hired four men to carry out the attack.
Eunice was reportedly ambushed and doused with acid and sustained severe injuries.
She later died while receiving treatment at the hospital and her body has since been transferred to the morgue.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed the arrest of the married woman who is currently in custody as investigations progress. Authorities are also pursuing the individuals believed to have carried out the attack.
