Laryea Kingston speaks about his biggest regret in his career for 1st time
Former Ghana International Footballer, Laryea Kingston has for the first time spoken about his biggest regret in his career. According to the Ghanaian midfielder, not being able to Ghana in any of the World Cup competitions is one of his biggest regret in his career.
In an interview on Joy FM and monitored by chillxone.com, Laryea Kingston anytime he thinks about it, his heart aches a lot.
Laryea Kingston played a key role in getting Ghana to qualify for its first World Cup in 2006. But Ghana’s then-coach, Ratomir Dujkovic excluded him from the team for Ghana’s first appearance at the World Cup.
Those his exclusion raised a lot of comments, the list remained unchanged. “It was very difficult, even to date,” he told Joy FM.When I think back, it is still very difficult. When you ask me today if I am happy with my career? I will say yes apart from the World Cup appearance. Every player’s dream is to be at the World Cup,” Laryea Kingston said.
“If you sit back, watch the World Cup and observe the way the players were giving their all and playing with enthusiasm and thinking at the same time that I couldn’t play let alone have a taste of it. It really hurts,” he said.
