Accra Polytechnic Now know as Accra Technical University has recorded it first COVID 19 case since School reopened. Authorities announced this to the student on the Tuesday, 23rd of June 2020.
The news circulating indicated that the affected person is a National Service personnel at one of the academic department.
The affected person is currently in Isolation at a medical facility and is responding well to treatment. Six of his colleagues who came into contact with the affected patient is said to have been counseled, re assured and their samples have been taken to the Laboratory testing.
“The contacts have been asked to isolate them selves from the public while waiting for their test result. The University Medical team and the safety and Health commitee are however in touch with the patient and contacts, to provide the needed medical and Psychological support, “The address to the student said
It also added that:“Members of the University community have been entreated to remain calm while adhering strictly to the published personal protection etiquette.”
