Guru Opens Up About Juju Attack, Recounts Removal Of Metal, Wood From His Body
Ghanaian musician Maradona Yeboah Adjei, popularly known as Guru, recently shared a chilling experience involving black magic (juju).
Speaking on Emelia Brobbey’s Okukuseku Show, Guru recounted how three of his personal assistants cast a juju spell on him, causing him to lose his voice while performing on stage.
Guru shared that he initially dismissed warnings from two pastors about spiritual attacks, only to later experience the effects firsthand.
“One day, a pastor called and told me directly that I was under a juju attack. Another pastor mentioned that I had been spiritually shot. Since then, I suffered from constant stomach pains for eight months,” Guru explained.
He detailed a specific event where he suddenly went mute while performing his popular song “Bonsam Ani” on stage. “As soon as I started performing ‘Bonsam Ani’, I couldn’t speak, and I became stiff. The DJ stopped the music, thinking I wanted to interact with the audience, but nothing was working. I had to leave the stage completely,” he explained.
After multiple hospital visits and inconclusive diagnoses, Guru turned to a herbalist. The herbalist conducted a procedure that removed various objects, including metal rings, hooks, wood, and cowrie shells, from his body. Guru recounted, “Whenever I went to the hospital, they found nothing. The herbalist eventually extracted metals, wood, hooks, and cowrie shells from different parts of my body.”
This revelation adds to the ongoing conversations about the use of black magic within Ghana’s entertainment industry.
