Ghana’s COVID-19 Confirmed Cases Now 1,279 With 10 Deaths And 134 Recoveries
Ghana’s total confirmed cases of the dreaded COVID-19 has increased to 1,279 with 10 deaths and 134 recoveries. This is according to the website of the Ministry of Information.
The Regional Distribution of Cases indicates that Greater Accra has the highest number of cases with 1,089 followed by Ashanti Region with 69. Eastern Region has the third-highest number of cases with 56. Savannah, Bono, Ahafo and Bono East are the only regions which are yet to record any positive cases.
This means that Ghana has recorded an additional 125 cases since the last update, with one new death and 14 new recoveries.
President Akuffo Addo in his last address to the nation lifted the partial lockdown which had been imposed on towns in the Greater Accra, Kasoa and Greater Kumasi Metropolis citing enhanced contact tracing and enhanced testing protocols.
Closure of all borders and a ban on all public gatherings, however, remain in force.
