The Medical Director of the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital, Dr.Prah George Kwame (PhD) has been temporarily relieved of his duties pending an investigation by a committee established by the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
A statement from the Ghana Health Service announced the decision along with a probe to be carried out into the hospital.
This comes after trending news over the past few days about an alleged incident involving the hospital.
An old woman who had been on admission at the Hospital for months was bundled into an ambulance and dropped into a bush.
She was later found dead and when contacted, the hospital justified their actions.
After a media uproar, the Ghana Health Service are now taking some actions.
