Bruno Fernandes sees red against Wolves to continue worrying trend

Manchester United’s chances of getting anything from their Christmas trip to Molineux have taken a massive hit after their captain saw red minutes into the second half.

Level at 0-0 heading into the interval, Fernandes was shown a second yellow card moments into the second 45 to leave his side facing a mountain to climb.

It is the third time that Fernandes has been sent off this season, after seeing Red against both Tottenham and Porto already, a feat that has been unmatched since Nemanja Vidic managed it in the 2008/09 campaign.

It also means that Manchester United now have to play 44 minutes of the second half a man light…
