A close friend of Bishop Bernard Nyarko, Ola Michael, has revealed his last conversation with him before his death. According to Ola, Bishop, after disclosing his ill health to him, also confided in him that he was serving a punishment from God.

Ola said in the Akan language which literally translates: “He said God was pulling his ears in his situation to turn him in a different direction”.

In an interview monitored on UTV, Ola Michael said Bishop commanded him to keep what he told him a secret because he did not want anyone to know about it.

Ola said he then encouraged him to make his situation public so that people who hear might be motivated to turn over a new leaf, but Bishop rejected that idea. Ola, who is also an entertainment critic, said he managed to convince Bishop to make his situation public only for him to tell him: “Okay, let us talk about that in the second week of May. For now, I am recovering”. However, Bishop could not recover from his illness and sadly died that fateful day.
