Barcelona contact Mino Raiola to make one final attempt to sign Erling Haaland

Barcelona have been pursuing the signing of Borussia Dortmund Erling Haaland for the longest time now. The 21-year-old is one of the most sought-after players heading into the summer transfer window.
Barcelona are one of the strongest suitors of Haaland. But they are having to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid, who are in much better financial health than the Catalans, which has stacked the odds against the Catalan giants.
However, Barça have not given up their pursuit of Haaland yet and are still making efforts to try and lure the Norwegian international to Camp Nou before the next season.
To that end, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona have launched one final effort to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
As per the report, the Catalan giants have reached out to the striker’s agent, Mino Raiola, to explain their stance on the matter again and look to arrive at a resolution. It is claimed that Barcelona have told him that they are willing to trigger’s Haaland €75 million release clause.
They also informed the super-agent that if the centre-forward agrees to join on a lower salary this summer, they will compensate for it in the coming seasons by improving his contract gradually.
However, the issue for the Blaugrana at the moment is paying the lofty commissions that Raiola and the striker’s father, Alf-Inge Haaland, are demanding as part of the deal. It is claimed that if the two are willing to agree to delayed payments, the situation can be resolved.
Haaland, for his part, is expected to make a decision on his future by the end of the month. Reports have claimed that finances will not play a major factor in his decision, but the sporting project offered will be the key.
Barcelona will wait for his decision and if they receive a negative response, the Catalans will press ahead with their operation for Bayern Munich superstar, Robert Lewandowski.
