810 Persons Were Arrested During The Partial Lockdown – Ghana Police Service Discloses
The president of Ghana in his address on coronavirus made a directive to effect a partial lockdown in certain parts of the country after it was confirmed to be epicentres of the global coronavirus pandemic in Ghana
The lockdown was followed by enforcement from the law enforcement agencies as they patrolled the streets of Greater Accra, Kumasi Metropolis and Kasoa respectively.
The Ghana Police Service in this regards arrested 810 person who violated the lockdown directives by the sitting president.
As the partial lockodwn remains suspended, Director of Public Affairs, Ghana Police Service has disclosed that 127 cases in relation to the violation of the lockdown restrictions are currently before the courts as 458 of the 810 persons arrested were granted bail.
